[1] Anyone here practice or are interested in the Law of Attraction, let’s chat about it together, shall we? We’re also waiting for reports on your experiences!
- [2] I’ve been waiting! (I’m happy!)
- [4] I think that “The Law of Attraction = Thoughts Become Reality”! For example… Thinking, “I’m thirsty” (thought) ↓ Thinking, “It’s hot so I want something cold” (thought) ↓ Opening the fridge (action) ↓ Getting something cold (attraction). So I believe that by taking action, I can attract what I want!
- [5] That’s one way to look at it >>4, but it’s interesting how things happen that can’t be explained by just personal actions, but are attracted by thought.
- [25] >>4 I agree. It makes me uneasy to think that wishes come true just by thinking, without taking any action. Are we paying a price for it somehow? I also think it’s harsh to not acknowledge negative feelings, because people experience both joy and sadness. Sorry to butt in.
- [26] >>25 If I may jump in, if you believe that “nothing comes true without action,” then that reality will be attracted to you. Furthermore, if you think “if it comes true just by thinking, I have to pay a price,” then you might reject ways to achieve your desires other than taking action because you fear that price. But if taking action works for you and you’re comfortable with that method, I think that’s perfectly fine too.
- [29] >>4 There are also people who think, “I’m thirsty” (thought) → the doorbell rings right at that moment ~ It’s a delivery! → They receive a gift set of fresh juices. They didn’t take any action.
*In Japan, there is a custom of sending gifts in summer (Ochugen) and winter (Oseibo) to express gratitude to those who have helped you during the year.- [32] >>29 That’s a common pattern for attracting food-related things, isn’t it (lol)? Things related to food tend to come true easily because there’s a sense of ease (“I can always buy it myself if it doesn’t work out”), which means less attachment, making it easier to manifest.
- [46] This is the person who wrote >>29. I was thinking I’d go buy yogurt at 10 o’clock, but at 9:55, the doorbell rang, and I received three different types of R1 drinks and yogurt. The timing was too perfect, it made me laugh. Well, I probably won’t subscribe though.
- [47] >>46 That’s amazing.
- [6] It works even if you don’t write it down in a notebook. I’m good at winning lotteries and receiving gifts.
- [7] >>6 I’m terrible at lotteries, so please teach me your secrets if you have any. (lol)
- [9] >>7 Actually, I’ve just been lucky since I was born, so I don’t know the trick myself (sorry).
- [10] >>9 What?! I’m so jealous!
- [11] >>9 Is that so? But maybe that’s just how it works sometimes.
- [8] Well, things sometimes suddenly come true when you’re thinking “it’s okay if it doesn’t happen” or when you’ve forgotten about your wish and are focused on something else.
- [12] So basically, “the key to opening up your own luck is not being swayed by desire and attachment”?
- [13] I often have success with food-related things. But my main desires, not at all. Sometimes things come true in a way that’s different from what I expected, which makes it quite difficult.
- [14] When you become attached, maybe the fear of “I absolutely don’t want it not to happen!” focuses your thoughts on the state of not having it, and that’s what you end up attracting?
- [15] >>14 That makes a lot of sense… There might be some truth to that.
- [17] You often hear stories about wishes coming true after letting go of attachment! Like when it happens when you’ve forgotten about it, or when you look back at your wish notebook after a long time and find most of them have come true. But the things I want most are the ones I think about and worry over every day… I’ll try my best to let go of attachment!
- [18] I started trying this about a month ago too! It’s quite difficult to constantly maintain a good mood. But I won’t give up! I’d love to hear about other people’s manifestation stories too! Nice to meet you all.
- [19] >>18 Same here. It’s hard to stay in a good mood, right? Often, just when I’m feeling good, something unpleasant happens and brings my mood down. I’ve been keeping a “Good Things Diary” and diligently writing down things like “I bought XX cheaply” to build up positive emotions. Since I started doing that, I’ve had more opportunities to buy things I wanted at a discount. I believe this is also thanks to the law of attraction!
- [20] >>19 That’s amazing! I’ll try harder too. Real-life experiences are really encouraging!
- [48] >>19 I think the internet makes it pretty easy to fall into that spiral. Especially on anonymous forums like this, one moment you feel encouraged by someone’s comment, and the next, a mean comment from someone else can instantly make you feel sad or upset. In that sense, as mentioned in previous comments, I feel like Shikutoku (this forum) has many users who enjoy the internet in moderation to avoid the damage from negative comments and maintain a positive mood. If our daily actions and thoughts are connected to attracting luck, then Shikutoku feels like a place that has a positive influence. Moderator’s note: Shikutoku = Secret Talk (the name of this bulletin board)
- [49] >>48 I get that. “Knowing when to stop” and “shifting your mood while keeping it moderate” feel really important. I think that’s the appeal of Shikutoku – you can enjoy it while maintaining a relaxed mindset.
- [22] If you search online, you find things like the “Now Method” and various others. The Now Method is difficult, but it seems like very good training for letting go of attachment.
- [42] >>22 Reading your comment, I looked up the “Now Method.” I thought, “Ah, I see…” https://www.google.co.jp/search?ei=今今メソッド (Note: This is a search link in Japanese for “今今メソッド” – Ima Ima Method)
- [43] >>42 Is it similar to meditation or mindfulness? Many people have written about tips? but I find it quite hard to understand (lol). It’s difficult.
- [44] >>43 It’s similar to mindfulness. When I searched for the Law of Attraction online, it said a pink aura is good, so I was thinking of using ↓ as my wallpaper… (lol). Seems I was a bit off. no title
- [45] >>43 I thought it might be about the calmness and sense of security you get when you’re naturally focused and absorbed in what you’re doing “in the now.” Though it seems there’s more to it (lol). In any case, it’s about preventing or stopping unnecessary worrying, isn’t it? I hope I can get to that state.
- [27] It reminds me of the words of Mother Teresa.
- [28] Apparently, it’s important not to blindly deny negative emotions when they arise, like thinking “This isn’t good!”, but rather to observe and acknowledge them each time they appear, thinking something like “Ah, I’m feeling irritated right now.”
- [33] I received some unexpected income! Maybe it’s the effect of the law of attraction? It was just money I had forgotten about. But still, I’m happy!
- [50] When I look things up online, it seems like staying in a good mood and cleaning are often recommended. I want to attract my ideal home, so maybe cleaning is related to that, but I often hear that cleaning brings good luck even outside of the law of attraction. Cleaning shouldn’t be underestimated.
- [51] As long as it doesn’t become obsessive-compulsive, I think cleaning isn’t a bad thing. There’s an old saying in Japan that “cleaning the toilet brings good fortune,” so perhaps that’s where the idea of linking attraction and cleaning came from. Plus, living in a clean room feels good. However, for people who are very busy or have health reasons that prevent them from keeping things tidy, forcing themselves because “they say cleaning is good for attraction…” seems counterproductive and might actually lead to negativity. People who are fundamentally serious and have a strong sense of responsibility might easily fall into the trap of thinking “I must do XX.”
- [52] Does anyone have recommendations for Law of Attraction bloggers or YouTubers? I’ve been reading Hana-san’s blog, “Read This and Be Happy! Everyone Becomes Happy with the Law of Attraction! A Single Mother’s Practice and Proof!” She recently remarried and seems to have a touch of celebrity about her, but I think she’s a pro at attracting small things in everyday life. Her explanations are easy to understand and reading them cheers me up.
- [54] >>52 I follow Senzai Ishiki de Ren’ai-san (Love through the Subconscious Mind) and Yagi Coach-san. I’m not necessarily trying to manifest romance, but they practice it themselves and write about their results on their blogs, which is informative, so I read them often. There was another blogger who wrote about their practice and results, but they achieved their desires, got busy with real life, and deleted their blog because they couldn’t manage it anymore.
- [56] Whenever I try to stay in a good mood or actually feel good, something bad always happens. Is this a healing crisis? Or is it resistance from wanting things to stay the same, not wanting to change? Feeling good = something bad happens has become such a set pattern that it feels like I’m setting it up myself.
- [57] >>56 That happens a lot. I’ve also thought maybe I was creating that pattern myself, where feeling good triggers something bad. But I’ve heard that until feeling good and positive becomes stable, things that undermine it are more likely to happen. Maybe that’s why many people give up at that point. Or perhaps you’re suppressing negative feelings without acknowledging them. When negativity comes up, it might be better to acknowledge it first, and then try to get back into a good mood.
- [59] >>57 I see! Thank you. I’ve been stuck in a spiral of wondering what I was doing wrong or what the meaning of this bad thing was, so this is eye-opening. It’s true, I wasn’t acknowledging my negative feelings. Thank you for helping me realize that!
- [58] For me, attracting romance worked best when I thought lightly, “Ah, it would be nice to date this person~” and then kind of forgot about it, without much attachment. But even when they confessed their feelings, for some reason, I always had another boyfriend at the time or couldn’t date them for some other reason. Such a waste! (So frustrating)
- [60] Hmm… I feel like I’m not allowing myself to be happy. And because I can’t clearly picture what happiness means to me, it feels like I can’t give myself the green light, like “It’s okay to be happy like this.” It’s difficult to visualize specifically.
- [62] >>60 Now that you mention it, maybe my idea of happiness is just “a state where there are no problems or hardships.” That might be why I tend to get caught up in negative things.
- [65] >>60 If you’ve never had things go smoothly before, I think there’s a part of your mind, like a trauma-based belief, that says “That kind of thing can’t possibly happen.” It’s hard to change long-held mental habits.
- [66] >>65 Replying from the side. I think that’s probably the case for many people. Because since childhood, adults, including parents, have instilled in us ideas like “Life isn’t that easy,” or “You can’t succeed without hard work and struggle.” As a result, we might end up attracting the reality of “things never going smoothly.”
- [67] >>66 I really understand that! I realized this especially regarding making money. The idea that money is something earned through hard work, or the extreme view that earning money easily is bad. Also, ideas like money being dirty (not physically, but in a bad sense) are instilled in us. Even though there are many ways to earn money besides traditional work, being bound by the belief that earning money without labor is wrong and bad is such a waste.
- [68] >>67 That’s definitely true, especially when it comes to money. We tend to be conditioned with limiting beliefs like “money must be earned through hardship” or “having too much money leads to unhappiness.” Because of this trend, even people with passive income, or those who can live off it entirely, often hide it from others or even take on light work as camouflage.
- [64] I’m not saying be overly optimistic, but I want to keep my distance from people who always stir up anxiety and ruin the mood. It’s hard to keep distance when you’re in the same group, but I hope I can at least learn to ignore them.
- [69] I still find it difficult to stay in a good mood consistently and keep my focus on enjoyable things and what I want to happen. When I manage to feel good, something unpleasant happens, or something occurs that seems to deny my enjoyable feelings or ideals. I know it’s a problem, but sometimes I end up pushing myself too hard, thinking “I have to be in a good mood!”
- [70] >>69 Me too, I used to get irritable from thinking “I have to be cheerful!” too much… Because of that, lately my motto is “take everything calmly” (lol). Aiming for neutral rather than positive or negative. Good things and bad things are equally important, and I want to accept both fully.
- [75] The Law of Attraction itself isn’t wrong, but when any concept becomes too fundamentalist, it just turns into discrimination. There’s a certain famous blogger who repeatedly writes things like, “Whatever bad thing happens, you attracted it yourself! It’s your own fault! Unhappy people deserve to be laughed at,” which I found shocking and repulsive. Did people swept away by tsunamis, victims of crime, children killed by abusive parents, or people killed in bombings around the world attract those things themselves, even if they weren’t thinking anything bad? Did the people of Hiroshima and Nagasaki attract the atomic bombs themselves? Even if unintentional, it’s incredibly insensitive, and it’s a convenient concept for perpetrators and criminals because it allows blaming the victim for everything. It hurts people who are already suffering multiple times over. While the law of attraction and positive thinking themselves can be good, how they’re expressed needs care. Blind faith in spiritual ideas that unconsciously hurt others is dangerous. What that attracts, in the end, is the anger and hatred of those around you. That blogger repeatedly proclaims their own happiness and enjoyment, but their partner seems to be suffering. Objective balance is important, I think.
- [77] I think people who only say negative things are at a disadvantage.
- [78] Being around lucky people makes me feel like I can get some of their luck too. Both good and bad emotions are contagious.
- [79] It’s about how much gratitude you can find in the present moment, isn’t it?
- [82] I also get too caught up in my immediate problems, making it difficult to attract what I want, even though I try not to worry. There are times when I suddenly fall into a pit, and it’s hard to keep my balance. I recently decided again that when I feel down, I should just do things I enjoy, without pushing myself too hard. May all of your wishes come true too! (I believe in the power of words.)
